Promoting and protecting heritage skills through a visionary regeneration programme
As part of Wentworth Woodhouse's visionary regeneration programme, we developed an action plan and recommendations to promote and protect a spectrum of heritage skills – from traditional building craft trades to specialist conservation expertise.
Key Achievements
- Carried out sector-leading research and a comprehensive study into the need for heritage skills training in the region.
- Created a programme with clear outputs to enable heritage skills, awareness, and training at various levels.
- Focused the work to outline accessible entry-level career routes, enabling existing professionals to upskill in specialist heritage construction and conservation techniques.
