Capital development programme for a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Led the creation of the capital development programme for RBG, Kew, with the aim of delivering a complex programme of capital investment and critical repairs following the receipt of government grants (£60 million). This instigated a wider reaching Masterplan, defining the future of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Key Achievements
- Developed the governance, policy, and processes to oversee the programme, requiring the instigation of accountable groups from Trustee-level.
- Oversaw the procurement of professional services teams and contractors throughout the programme.
- Delivered several, diverse projects including new landscaping, installation of public art, new restaurants and public amenities, gallery refurbishments, and new horticultural facilities.
