About
Cheryl is a Senior Project Lead and Chartered Building Surveyor with two decades of experience delivering complex, multi-funder construction and heritage projects. She specialises in leading major capital programmes from early strategic development through feasibility, masterplanning, design, procurement, construction, and handover.
With extensive experience overseeing multimillion-pound heritage, conservation, refurbishment, and estate-wide programmes, Cheryl is trusted to manage sensitive assets, guide organisations through complex governance, and collaborate with senior leaders, trustees, and external funders. She is known for her calm, solutions-focused leadership style, her ability to navigate diverse stakeholder landscapes, and her rigorous approach to risk, compliance, and programme management.
Cheryl brings expertise in developing strategic masterplans, long-term investment programmes working within multi-funder environments — notably National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England — and operationally realistic proposals that support sustainable estate management. Her career spans major national portfolios and culturally significant sites, including Belsay Castle, Brodsworth Hall, Hadrian’s Wall, Peterborough Cathedral, and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
At Oculus Management, Cheryl combines deep technical knowledge with a clear, structured, and pragmatic approach to delivering resilient and future-focused projects across the arts, heritage, and cultural sectors.
